Installation (All Models)

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Coat camshaft and camshaft oil seal with engine oil before installing in cylinder head. On 16-valve, apply RTV sealant to bottom of camshaft carrier cap No. 6. Tighten camshaft carrier cap bolts gradually in sequence and tighten bolts to specification. See Fig 1. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Adjust valve clearance. See VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT  under ADJUSTMENTS. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
