Thrust Bearing

Install thrust bearing on main bearing with grooves toward crankshaft, away from cylinder block. Replace thrust bearing if crankshaft end play is not within specification. See CRANKSHAFT, MAIN & CONNECTING ROD BEARINGS  table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Refer to Fig 1.
