Piston & Rod Assembly

Install piston with arrow on top of piston toward timing belt end of engine and oil hole toward intake manifold side. See Fig 1.

NOTE: Two different standard piston sizes and cylinder bore diameters are used. Piston and cylinder bores are marked "1" or "2". Mark is placed on top of piston or on cylinder block deck surface. See Figure.
