Code 8, Shorted Dump Solenoid Circuit

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect pressure limit valve connector. Measure resistance between pressure limit valve connector terminals No. 3 (White/Green wire) and No. 4 (Black wire).
  2. If resistance is less than one ohm, replace pressure limit valve. If resistance is 1-3 ohms, disconnect RWAL EBCM connector. Measure resistance between RWAL EBCM harness connector terminal No. 9 (White/Green wire) and ground.
  3. If resistance is greater than 20,000 ohms, replace RWAL EBCM. See RWAL ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is less than 20,000 ohms, repair short to ground in RWAL EBCM harness White/Green wire.
