Washer Pump Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Using test light, check Black wire at washer pump connector while pressing washer switch. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, replace rear wiper/washer switch.
  2. Using test light, check Black/Green wire at washer pump connector while pressing washer switch. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open in Black/Green wire between switch and pump.
  3. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Black wire between washer pump connector and ground. If resistance is less than one ohm, replace washer pump. If resistance is more than one ohm, repair Black wire between pump and ground.
