Washer Pump Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition on. Using test light, check Yellow/Blue wire at combination switch connector. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open in Yellow/Blue wire between fuse block and combination switch.
  2. Activate washer switch. Using test light, check Blue/Black wire at combination switch connector. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, replace combination switch.
  3. Turn ignition to lock. Unplug washer pump connector (located under washer reservoir). Using test light, probe Blue/Black wire at pump connector. Turn ignition on. Activate washer switch. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open in Blue/Black wire between combination switch and washer pump.
  4. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Black wire between washer pump connector and ground. If resistance is less than one ohm, replace washer pump. If resistance is more than one ohm, repair Black wire between pump and ground.
