Turn Signal Switch

  1. Before testing switch, ensure turn signal fuse and relay are good. Relay, used in place of flasher, is mounted on top of fuse block, under left side of instrument panel. Ensure hazard switch is off. Remove turn signal/back-up fuse from fuse block under left side of instrument panel.
  2. Locate combination switch 20-pin harness connector under instrument panel, near steering column. Check for continuity between Yellow wire and Yellow/White wire terminals of switch connector. If no continuity exists, hazard switch is defective. Replace combination switch assembly. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Move turn signal stalk to left-turn position. Check for continuity between Green wire and Green/Red wire terminals of switch connector. If no continuity exists, replace combination switch assembly. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  4. If continuity exists, move turn signal stalk to right-turn position. Check for continuity between Green wire and Green/Yellow wire terminals of switch connector. If no continuity exists, replace combination switch assembly.
