Gauge Indicates "C" At All Times

  1. Unplug coolant temperature sending unit connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between connector terminal and ground. If gauge indicates "H", replace coolant temperature sending unit.
  2. If gauge indicates "C", unplug 13-pin instrument panel cluster assembly connector. Using a DVOM, check resistance between connector terminal No. 13 and ground. If resistance is greater than 3 ohms, repair open circuit in Yellow/White wire. If resistance is less than 3 ohms, check printed circuit for cracks or poor connections. If printed circuit is okay, replace gauge.
