Oil Pressure Indicator Does Not Light
- Disconnect oil pressure switch connector. Connect fused jumper jumper from switch cavity to ground. Turn ignition on. If indicator does not light, go to next step. If indicator lights, check for poor connection at switch connector. If connection is okay, replace switch.
- Disconnect fused jumper wire. Disconnect 16-pin instrument cluster connector. Connect DVOM between cluster connector Yellow/Black wire terminal and oil pressure switch connector cavity. Measure resistance. If resistance is less than 0.5 ohm, check instrument cluster printed circuit for cracks or poor connections. If okay, replace indicator bulb. If resistance is more than 0.5 ohm, repair open in Yellow/Black wire between cluster assembly and oil pressure switch.
