Removal & Installation: Engine: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. When installing torque rod, tighten torque rod bracket-to-cylinder block bolts before tightening center crossmember bolt. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE at the end of this article.
    CAUTION: Stake axle shaft nut after tightening to specification.
  2. Adjust all control cables. Adjust fluid levels. On A/T models, fill transaxle with Dexron-II. On M/T models, fill transaxle with GM 75W GL-5 Fluid (12345349).
