Installation (1.8L)

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence. See Figure . Tighten bolts in 2 steps to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS TABLE at the end of this article.
  2. Before installing valve cover, apply RTV Sealant (1052917) to contact surfaces between valve cover and camshaft bearing caps No. 1 and No. 5. Fill cooling system, and adjust throttle cable.
