Rocker Arm Assembly (1.6L)
- Note camshaft bearing cap locations. Disassemble rocker arm assembly. See Figure .
- Inspect components for damage. Measure O.D. of rocker arm shaft in rocker arm operating areas. Measure I.D. of rocker arm. Determine oil clearance. Replace components if measurements are not within specification. See ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Using dial indicator and "V" blocks, check rocker arm shaft runout. Replace shaft if runout exceeds specification. See ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY SPECIFICATIONS table. To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure.
