Piston Rings

Ensure ring end gap and side clearance are within specification. See PISTONS, PINS & RINGS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Position piston ring gaps 90 degrees apart. Ensure ring end gaps are not aligned. Ensure ring gaps do not align with piston pin.
