Cylinder Block
- Using feeler gauge and straightedge, check cylinder block deck surface for warpage. If warpage exceeds specification, replace cylinder block. See CYLINDER BLOCK table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS at end of article.
- Check cylinder bore for wear and taper. Bore cylinder block if taper exceeds specification. See CYLINDER BLOCK table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.
- If cylinder bore diameter exceeds 3.1575" (80.201 mm), bore cylinder block for oversize pistons. Oversize pistons are available in 2 sizes for each engine. See OVERSIZE PISTON SPECIFICATIONS table.
