Knuckle Assembly: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and brake drum. Remove rear axle hub. See REAR AXLE HUB ASSEMBLY .
  2. Disconnect and cap brake hose from brake line. Remove brake backing plate with brake assembly. Remove through bolt from lateral links. Remove trailing link through bolt. Remove strut-to-knuckle nuts and bolts. See Figure. Remove knuckle from strut.
