Wheel Bearing
Wheel bearings are sealed and require no adjustment. To check wheel bearing play, raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheel. Remove brake drum. With dial indicator stem mounted against center (outboard side) of axle hub, measure end play by pulling in and out on hub. See Fig 1. If end play is more than .002" (.05 mm), replace axle hub assembly. Axle hub and hub bearing are a complete unit, and cannot be serviced separately.
