Steering Wheel & Horn Pad: Installation

  1. Coat steering wheel slip ring contact surfaces with dielectric grease. Align reference marks made during removal, and install steering wheel and retaining nut onto shaft. Tighten retaining nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS.
  2. Connect wire connectors and install SIR module/center pad assembly to steering wheel. Reconnect Orange 3-way connector at base of steering column. Activate SIR system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
