Strut Assembly: Removal

  1. Remove rear seat back cushion. Raise and support vehicle, allowing suspension to hang freely. Remove wheels. Disconnect brake line from backing plate and plug hose to prevent fluid loss. Remove brake line from bracket on strut.
  2. Remove wheel speed sensor wire harness (if equipped). Remove stabilizer bar link from strut assembly. See Figure. Remove strut assembly mounting bolts and nuts from knuckle. Remove upper strut mounting nuts. Remove strut assembly from vehicle.
