Wheel Bearings

Wheel bearings are not adjustable. To check wheel bearing for excessive wear, raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel. Reinstall 2 wheel nuts to hold brake disc. Compress caliper piston to free disc. Mount dial indicator to axle hub. See Fig 1 . Grasp brake disc and apply force in and out. If measurement exceeds .002" (.05 mm), replace hub and bearing assembly.
