DTC 22, Air Bag Indicator Circuit Fault (1 Of 5): Description

AIR BAG indicator circuit consists of instrument cluster, AIR BAG indicator, junction block No. 1, and center sensor assembly. Voltage is applied to AIR BAG indicator at all times. When ignition switch is turned to ACC or ON, center sensor assembly grounds LA circuit, terminal B6, for 6 seconds while it performs PRIMARY CHECK. This causes AIR BAG indicator to illuminate. If center sensor assembly detects a fault within SRS, it will ground LA circuit, illuminate AIR BAG indicator, open safety circuit, and store DTC.
