DTC 11, Short To Ground In Steering Column Circuit (1 Of 5): Description

Steering column circuit consists of inflator module, SRS coil assembly, center sensor assembly, and wiring. Center sensor assembly injects a small amount of current through steering column circuit through D+ circuit output, terminal B8. By monitoring voltage at D- circuit input, terminal B7, center sensor assembly calculates combined resistance of inflator module, SRS coil assembly and wiring.
