Cylinder Head: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate cylinder head bolts with engine oil before installing. Tighten cylinder head bolts in sequence to specification. See Fig 1 . See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of article.
  2. Adjust valve clearance. See VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT under ADJUSTMENTS.
  3. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of article.
  4. Before installing fuel supply line on throttle body, apply a thin coat of engine oil on "O" ring. Adjust all control cables. Refill cooling system.
