Storm (Gauge Reads Less Than Actual Pressure)

  1. Disconnect oil pressure sender connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between connector terminal and ground. If gauge reads 110 psi, replace oil pressure sender. If gauge reads less than 110 psi, leave jumper wire attached and disconnect 10-pin instrument panel cluster connector. Connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 1 and ground.
  2. If more than .6 ohm is present, repair open circuit in Light Blue wire between instrument panel cluster and oil pressure sender. If less than .6 ohm is present, check instrument panel cluster printed circuit for cracks or poor connections. If printed circuit is okay, replace sender.
