Tracker (Fuel Gauge Reads "F" At All Times)

  1. Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit connector. If fuel gauge indicates empty, replace fuel gauge sending unit. If fuel gauge indicates full, disconnect 10-pin instrument panel cluster assembly connector. Connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 7 (Yellow/Red wire) and ground.
  2. If less than infinite ohms are present, repair short to ground in Yellow/Red wire. If infinite ohms are present, check instrument panel cluster printed circuit for cracks and poor connection. If printed circuit is okay, replace fuel gauge.
