Storm (Fuel Gauge Reads "F" At All Times)
- Disconnect fuel tank sender connector. If fuel gauge indicates "E", replace fuel tank sender.
- If fuel gauge indicates "F", disconnect 10-pin instrument cluster connector. Connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Red wire) and ground. If less than infinite ohms are present, repair short to ground in junction block or Yellow/Red wire between instrument panel cluster and fuel tank sender.
- If infinite ohms are present, disconnect 8-pin instrument panel cluster connector. Connect an ohmmeter from connector terminal No. 8 (Brown/Red) to chassis ground. If more than .5 ohm is present, repair open in Brown/Red wire between instrument panel cluster and negative battery terminal.
- If less than .5 ohm is present, check instrument panel cluster printed circuit for cracks or poor connections. If printed circuit is okay, replace fuel gauge.
