Removal (1.6L)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove PCV hoses from valve cover. Remove spark plug wires from clip. Remove valve cover-to-timing belt cover bolts.
  2. Loosen lower timing belt cover bolts. Remove valve cover bolts and valve cover. Note position of camshaft bearing caps for installation reference. Remove rocker arm bolts in proper sequence. See Fig 1 . Remove rocker arm assembly. See Figure .
