Lower Intake Manifold: Installation

To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of article. If fuel injectors were removed, install NEW "O" rings. Lubricate "O" rings with oil before installing on fuel injectors. Fill cooling system.

NOTE: Lower intake manifold is also called induction control valve assembly. It contains air valves, which modify air induction velocity under certain operating conditions.


To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table at end of article. Install NEW "O" rings on tips of fuel injectors. Lubricate "O" rings with engine oil before installing on fuel injectors. Fill cooling system.
