Wheel Bearings
Wheel bearings are not adjustable. To check wheel bearing for excessive wear, raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel center cap, and mount a dial indicator to brake drum center. See Fig 1. Grasp tire and apply force in and out. Replace bearing if movement exceeds .012" (.30 mm).
