DERM injects a current through steering column from FORCE HIGH output to FORCE LOW output. By monitoring voltage at SENSE HIGH input and SENSE LOW input, DERM calculates combined resistance of inflator module, SIR coil, harness wiring (circuits No. 347 and 348) and connector terminal contact in steering column.
