Bearing Selection

- Clean crankshaft journals and bearings to be installed. Using Plastigage method, check oil clearance. When installing rod caps, ensure that arrow on cap points to crankshaft pulley side.
- Install connecting rod with bearing on crankshaft journal. Tighten bolts to specifications. Using a feeler gauge, measure side clearance. If specifications are exceeded, replace connecting rod.
