Sending Unit Check

Remove sending unit from top of thermostat housing. Connect ohmmeter between sending unit terminal and body of sender. Check resistance of sender in heated water. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE  table. If resistance is not as specified, replace sender.
