Throttle Position Sensor: Installation
- Install throttle position sensor on throttle body with screws loosely installed. Throttle position sensor must be adjusted. Connect ohmmeter leads to terminals IDL (Blue wire) and E2 (Brown wire) of throttle position sensor. See Figure .
- Insert a .014" (.35 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and stop lever. Rotate throttle position sensor until continuity exists. Tighten retaining screws. Remove feeler gauge.
- Insert a .023" (.58 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and stop lever. Ensure no continuity now exists between IDL and E2 terminals. Remove feeler gauge.
