Fault Codes 62, 63 Or 64

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect electrical connector from ATCM, located near center console. See Figure . Note ATCM electrical connector terminal identification. See Fig 1 .
  2. Using Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM), check resistance between terminals No. 10, 11 and 12 of ATCM electrical connector and body ground. See Fig 1 .
    NOTE: Terminal identification is as follows: terminal No. 10 is lock-up solenoid, terminal No. 11 is No. 2 solenoid and terminal No. 12 is No. 1 solenoid. Lock-up solenoid may also be referred to as No. 3 solenoid.
  3. If resistance is 11-15 ohms, replace ATCM. If resistance is not 11-15 ohms, check for open or short circuit in solenoid wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS. Check for defective solenoid.
