Tracker (Transfer Case)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove drain plug from back of transfer case, below speedometer gear housing, and drain fluid. Install drain plug. Tighten it to 20 ft. lbs. (27 N.m).
  2. Remove transfer case fill plug (upper plug) from rear of transfer case. Fill plug is located near speedometer gear housing.
  3. Fill transfer case with SAE 75W-90 or 80W-90 gear oil with GL-4 rating until fluid level is at bottom of fill plug hole. Install fill plug, and tighten it to 20 ft. lbs. (27 N.m).
