Neutral Safety Switch: Prizm

  1. Set parking brake. Loosen neutral safety switch at transaxle. See Fig 1. Place gearshift in NEUTRAL position. Disconnect neutral safety switch connector. Loosen mounting bolts.
  2. Connect ohmmeter between neutral safety switch terminals. Rotate neutral safety switch to point where continuity exists between terminals. Tighten mounting bolts to 70 INCH lbs. (8 N.m). Reconnect neutral safety switch connector.
