DERM turns on INFLATABLE RESTRAINT indicator light.

- Checks if fault is in steering column. SIR load tester simulates resistance of good steering column wiring and components.
- Determines if fault is in inflator module or SIR coil. SIR load tester simulates resistance of a good inflator module.
- Determines if fault is on deployment loop side of DERM side of resistor module.
- Checks for open in SENSE HI (circuit No. 753).
- Checks for a shorted circuit No. 688 to circuit No. 753.
