Inflator Module: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Disable SIR system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Inflator module is located on steering wheel hub. See Figure or Figure . Ensure front wheels are straight-ahead. Remove module screws from behind steering wheel. Disconnect module connectors, and remove inflator module. Store assembly with pad surface upward.
