Code 43, No Crank Signal, No Signal From Starter: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1992 Geo Prizm. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
ECM receives a 12-volt signal when starter is cranking. ECM uses this signal to control fuel pump activation. If signal is not present and engine speed is greater than 800 RPM, Code 43 will set.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Battery voltage should be present on the Black/White wire while engine is cranking.
