Code 14, Ignition Signal Circuit, No Signal: Notes

Ignitor receives 5 volts from ECM terminal "IGF" and ECM receives a .7 volt input from ignitor. If one or both of these signals are not present 4 successive times during cranking, Code 14 will set. ECM uses these signals to pulse injectors.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Verifies 5-volt signal from ECM.
- Verifies .10-.15 volt signal from ECM.
- Checks for power to distributor.
- Checks for a faulty ignition coil and a faulty ignitor.
