Codes 12 & 13, No Rpm Signal/No Signal For 2 Seconds

ECM supplies a voltage signal to pick-up coil. When the stator inside distributor passes the pick-up coil, voltage signal is pulled low. This low voltage signal is used to sequence fuel injection. If this signal is not present for 2 seconds, Codes 12 and/or 13 will set.

1. Voltage is supplied by ECM to the pick-up coil.
2. Checks if RPM signal is present at ECM.
3. Checks resistance of pick-up coil.
4. Checks resistance of signal rotor coil.
