Storm DOHC

  1. Disconnect Blue wire connector at oil pressure sending unit. Sending unit is located at right rear of engine, near oil filter. Connect test light between Blue wire connector and ground. Turn ignition on. Test light should glow dimly and gauge pointer should fluctuate toward high.
  2. If gauge pointer is inactive, remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Ensure instrument cluster electrical connectors are unplugged. Connect ohmmeter leads between oil pressure gauge terminals No. 3 and 6 on back of instrument cluster. See Figure . Resistance reading should be 42 ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace gauge.
