Rear Wiper Motor: Prizm

  1. Remove rear door interior trim panel. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Using a 12-volt battery and jumper leads, connect positive battery lead to Pink/Black wire terminal of wiper motor connector. Connect negative battery lead to rear wiper motor. If motor does not operate, replace motor.
  2. To test automatic park cycle, connect jumper leads as described in step 1). Ensuring wiper motor is operating, disconnect battery positive lead from Pink/Black wire terminal of connector. With motor stopped, connect another jumper wire between Pink/Black and Pink wire terminals.
  3. Connect battery positive lead to Blue wire terminal of connector. Wiper motor should stop at normal park position. If wiper motor does not stop, replace motor assembly.
