Rear Wiper Motor: Metro
- Follow wiring harness from rear door down right rear corner post. Locate and unplug 6-terminal harness connector at right rear corner of interior. Using a 12-volt battery and jumper leads, connect positive battery lead to Orange wire terminal of wiper motor harness connector.
- Connect negative lead to rear door hinge or latch mechanism. Wiper motor should rotate at 38-46 RPM. If wiper motor does not operate, remove inner rear door panel and ensure Black wire ground connection of wiper motor assembly is good. Repair wiring or replace motor as required.
- To test automatic park cycle, connect battery positive lead to Yellow/Blue wire terminal of 6-terminal wiper motor harness connector. Connect another jumper wire across Orange and Blue/Green terminals of wiper motor harness connector.
- Wiper motor should stop at normal park position. Refer to Fig 1
. If motor does not operate, remove inner rear door panel and ensure Black wire ground connection of wiper motor assembly is good. Repair wiring or replace motor as required.
