Horn Pad Switch: Storm
- Ensure fuse C-20 is okay by operating hazard flashers. Remove horn relay from relay box on right side of engine compartment. Using test light, ensure voltage exists at relay connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2 (Green/Orange wires for both terminals).
- Connect ohmmeter between ground and relay connector terminal No. 3 (Black/Orange wire). Press steering wheel horn switch and note resistance. If resistance is less than 0.3 ohm, switch is okay. Replace horn relay.
- If resistance is more than 0.3 ohm, remove SIR module/center pad assembly from steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect ohmmeter between steering shaft (ground) and horn switch connector. Press horn switch and ensure continuity of switch circuit exists. Replace switch as required, or repair open in Black/Orange wiring circuit from horn switch to relay. See appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS section.
