Horn Pad Switch: Prizm

  1. If horn does not sound, operate hazard flashers. If flashers operate, hazard fuse is good and horn relay has voltage. Remove horn relay from relay box on left side of engine compartment. Connect ohmmeter between ground and horn relay connector terminal No. 2 (Green/Red wire).
  2. Press steering wheel horn switch and note resistance. If resistance is less than 0.3 ohm, switch is okay. Replace relay. If resistance is more than 0.3 ohm, remove steering wheel horn switch/pad assembly. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Test horn switch continuity. Replace switch or contact ring as required, or repair open in Green/Red wiring circuit. See appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS section.
