Horn Pad Switch: Metro
- If horn does not sound, operate hazard flashers. If flashers operate, hazard fuse in fuse block under left dash panel is good. Remove horn relay from left side of engine compartment relay box. Using test light, check voltage at terminals No. 1 (White/Red wire) and No. 2 (White/Green wire) of relay connector. Ensure voltage is present. See appropriate chassis wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS section.
- Connect ohmmeter between ground and terminal No. 3 (Light Green wire) of relay connector. Depress horn switch and note resistance. If resistance is less than 0.3 ohm, switch is okay.
- If resistance is more than 0.3 ohm, repair open in Light Green wire circuit from horn switch to relay. If Light Green wire circuit is okay, replace complete horn switch/center pad assembly. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
