Turn Signal Switch (Tracker)

  1. Before testing switch, ensure turn signal fuse and relay are good. Relay, used in place of flasher, is mounted on top of fuse block, under left instrument panel. Ensure hazard switch is off. Remove turn signal/back-up fuse from fuse block under left instrument panel.
  2. Locate combination switch harness 20-terminal connector under instrument panel, near steering column. Check continuity between Yellow wire and Yellow/White wire terminals of switch connector. If continuity is not present, hazard switch is defective. Replace combination switch assembly. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Move turn signal stalk to left-turn position. Check continuity between Green wire and Green/Red wire terminals of switch connector. If continuity is not present, replace combination switch assembly. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  4. Move turn signal stalk to right-turn position. Check continuity between Green wire and Green/Yellow wire terminals of switch connector. If continuity is not present, replace combination switch assembly.
