Removal (Prizm)
- Ensure front wheels are straight. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove 2 horn button/center pad assembly-to-steering wheel screws from behind steering wheel. Pull horn button/center pad assembly from steering wheel and disconnect wire connectors. Use cloth-covered, flat-blade screwdriver to pry horn button/center pad assembly from contact plate (if necessary).
- Remove steering wheel retaining nut. Scribe mark on steering wheel and shaft for reassembly reference. Using steering wheel puller, remove steering wheel. See Figure .
