Removal (Lock Cylinder - Tracker)

  1. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove combination switch assembly. See COMBINATION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Disconnect ignition switch harness connectors. Remove steering column-to-dash support bolts (hold lower column to firewall). Remove steering shaft joint bolts. Remove steering column.
  3. Using center punch and power drill with 3/8" or larger bit, remove 2 mounting bracket shear bolt heads. See Figure . Remove ignition switch/column lock housing from column.
