Removal & Installation (Metro)

  1. Disable SIR system (Metro convertible). See AIR BAG PRECAUTIONS. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove upper and lower steering column covers and lower dash panel cover. See Figure and Figure .
  2. Unplug combination switch (turn signal/dimmer) harness connector at right rear of junction/fuse block. Junction/fuse block is located under left dash. See Figure . Remove harness retainer bands from steering column.
  3. Remove combination switch-to-ignition switch assembly screws. Remove combination switch from column and remove switch harness from instrument panel. See Figure and Figure . To install, reverse removal procedure. Activate SIR system (Metro convertible). See AIR BAG PRECAUTIONS  .
